Imperative 27: 8th vision: mega co-ops' contract production of organic meats

Upscale markets in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, China, Korea and other countries prefer organically-grown and processed pork and chicken meats.  Reason: current commercially-grown chicken and pigs worldwide are fed with concentrates that are loaded with such chemicals as growth enhancers, disease preventives, synthetic vitamins, meat 'beautifiers', feeds preservatives, vaccines, anti-caking, anti-rancidity and anti-mold agents, etc.  Portions of such chemicals are now known to stay within the meats even after slaughter and cooking.  In due time they become causes of cancers, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, kidney and liver disease, etc.
Health-conscious consumers who are aware of such dangers prefer to consume organically grown and processed meats, despite such products' premium prices.  Organic pork and chicken meat come from livestock raised on the range, the animals free to move about within fenced feedlots that have roofed shelters versus rains.  They are fed with all-organic feeds (no harmful chemicals added) the ingredients of which are produced right at the farm.  Plant-based feeds ingredients are likewise grown without harmful chemical fertilizers and insecticides.  Plant-based pesticides, natural pests' 'enemies', compost and organic foliar fertilizers are used instead.
For the mega co-op, profits should be greatly enhanced thru its growing of all feed ingredients within its agro-forest, thereby avoiding such high costs as transportation, anti-spoilage additives, packaging, shipping, storage, and related labor which in the Philippines are all currently shouldered mainly by commercial feed mixers. Currently, eighty percent of commercial chicken and pig raisers' budgets are consumed in said country by commercial feeds purchases.  By growing its own feeds, the mega co-ops should thereby earn immense profits out of its organic chicken and pig product lines while bringing down the prices of such products.
To minimize capital investment while maximizing profits, mega co-ops have to engage in contract-growing of organic chicken and pork with Japanese,  South Korean, Taiwanese, Singaporean and Coastal Chinese restaurateurs and food companies.  The foreign companies have to supply the slaughterhouses, refrigeration facilities and processing equipment as well as their secret ingredients and specialized processing technologies. They may likewise supply the initial stocks of range chicken and pig breeds according to their markets' special needs for quality and taste.  Turkey, ostrich, quail and ducks may be added to the product line.
The meat factories built within mega co-op agro-forest sites may be expected to produce frozen meat cuts, smoked hams, bacon, flavored pork and chicken barbecues, sausages and hot dogs, spam, instant noodle ingredients, etc.  All resultant finished products should be exported to the contractor companies' home countries.  The contracting partners may haggle over raw material prices with focus on long-term (forever) profit-making for both sides, thus leading to mutually beneficial pricing.
All the factories must be constructed by mega co-op construction companies which are joint ventures with local construction firms.  The foreign companies should provide for all costs to set up the factory buildings and install feedlot shelters.
The social benefits?  Aside from employment of Elementary level masses, the agro-forests and their food factories will help prevent topsoil erosion, landslides, lowland floods, droughts, drying up of streams, silting of waterways, and family business bankruptcies incident to such scourges.   Food factory joint ventures will indirectly help thru their profit shares awarded to co-ops, part of which the co-ops will use for forest and topsoil protection.  For humanity, the benefit will be in the form of perpetual growth and maintenance of agro-forests which convert billions of tons of CO2 into life-sustaining oxygen.

Imperative 10: Mega co-op corporate groups should fast-track climate change action!

Japan pioneered corporate group formation in East Asia in 1860s to early 1900s.  To build a prosperous economy, the 1860s Japanese government imported entire steel mills, parts-making factories, defense works and other industries from USA, UK, and Germany.  Imports included engineering trainers.  Once profitable, the government sold the industries to local elites at low prices and long-term installment.  Since elite families were few, they cornered the deals, in the process creating corporate groups (zaibatsu) that numbered scores of companies per family.  The zaibatsu soon captured large chunks of the Korean, Chinese and other Pacific Rim markets, in the process lifting the Japanese masses' living standards to a great degree.      Japanese industries' need for raw materials however led to the Japanese armed forces' conquest of Pacific Rim nations from 1942 to '45.  Japan was roundly defeated and occupied by US forces in 1945, ...

Imperative 37: 16th vision: mega co-ops' electric-powered steel and alloy mills

Technologies for smelting iron ore and magnetite sand (of which around 10% contain 60 to 66% iron) using electric furnaces are now mature, with joint venture or turnkey plants available for sale in the 1st World.  Such technologies combined with trillion-watt level power from Philippine geothermal and mini hydro sources as described in previous posts can make the Philippines a major producer of basic carbon steel (iron + 2% carbon).  Carbon steel mixed with nickel, chromium and other metals from 1% to 20%, then melted in electric furnaces produce stainless and alloy steels which may be formed by molds, sheet-making machines and machine tools into all manner of machinery parts, sheets, tubes, bars, etc.  Assembled in certain ways, such alloyed parts become factory machines, home appliances, vehicles, ships, heavy equipment, construction steel and all manner of steel-based products.  The technologies applied to the Philippines can transform the coun...

Imperative 13: We should entice world capital into the CO2 mitigation campaigns!

Since global warming is planet scale, we have to target global scale funds from both State and private sectors to initiate and pursue climate change financing action.  Fundamentally, the world's investment and lending funds are so huge and 'expandable' that, given an attractive and practical profit-based strategy, a mere 10% of the amounts will prove more than enough to suck up most of the 700+ billion tons of Earth's atmospheric CO2 while creating jobs for five billion 3rd World poor within mere decades.  Here are recent US dollar estimates from which we can source potential 'air cleaner' financial tools, based on internet data: a) total value, world banks' and peoples' coins and banknotes: $81 trillion; b) stock shares in world stock markets: $70 trillion; c) global bonds: $100 trillion; d) global currency trades: $5 trillion per day ; e) global stock market buy/sell deals: $700 trillion during economic crises, $1.2 quadrillion and up during good t...
