Imperative 26: 7th vision: mega co-ops' contract raising of livestock

Ranchers and livestock raisers from Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, India, Middle East and other countries may multiply their stocks of cattle, sheep, goats, buffaloes, antelopes, and deer, and even add horses and donkeys (for sale to resorts) thru feedlot-style contract breeding and grow-out with Philippine mega co-ops that operate agro-forests.  Restaurateurs from Coastal China, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and other countries may also engage in Philippine mega co-ops' organic style contract growing of pigs, range chicken, ducks, turkey, ostrich and quail.  Target: supply portions of the 2.5 billion Chinese, Indian and Pacific Rim markets with refrigerated meat cuts, jerkies (semi-dried, flavored meat cuts) and barbecues, smoked duck, shawarma cuts, boiled quail eggs (for soups), sausages, milk, cheese, yogurt and food factory ingredients.  Organic meats with special qualities and flavors (contractors' secrets) are highly desired even at premium prices in 1st World countries, so both mega co-ops and foreign contractors should earn good income out of the contract-growing schemes.
The Philippines is an ideal place for livestock breeding and grow-out because of its year-round sun and fertile soils which enable livestock forages to grow thickly and perennially. Contract raising terms may be as follows: the foreign livestock raisers supply initial stocks in hundreds of heads from such sources as Australia, New Zealand, India, Middle East, Africa, Europe, Russia, etc.  The mega co-ops guard, feed, care for and breed the livestock, getting half of offspring in return.  Consultants from the country's Bureau of Animal Industry, agricultural colleges and commercial livestock raisers have the world-class technologies for disease prevention, organic feeding and other necessities for profitable livestock care.
To maximize land use, the mega co-op may plant protein-rich pod-bearing tree forages within its 50-100 hectare reforested patches, plus grasses, legumes and ground forages between the said patches. The agroforest's large areas of sweet sorghum plantations between forest patches (strip style for endless harvests) should be able to feed thousands of ruminants and provide grains for feed pellet production (for export) while providing feedstock to co-op clusters' juicing mills and ethanol distilleries.  Workers armed with tree and bush trimmers, grass cutters, hand tractors with trailers and other tools haul fresh forages to the feedlots located under forest canopies for feeding to ruminant livestock, and to the pelleting facility.  More workers handle corn, grains and azolla production to provide additional ingredients to the co-op's organic feeds pelleting plant.
Such feedlot style ranching system is a great advantage to the mega co-op because it maximizes land use (feedlots are located under forest trees), prevents wasteful gazing of grasslands, prevents the spread of rainy season diseases incident to wet field grasses, reduces costs thru prevention of herding and guarding activities over wide grassland areas, enables personalized breeding and care, and employs large numbers of Elementary-level poor in regular jobs.  The pelleting plants for their part should export most of their production to cold-country livestock raisers.
1st World Aid agencies and Climate Change Funds may help finance the contractors' stock purchases and shipping expenses thru long term loans at low interest.  The special terms are intended to help absorb atmospheric CO2 thru planting of million-hectare forage trees, grasses and bushes.  Methane exuded by the animals may be sequestered from source by adding seaweeds to feed mixes, per Australian research results.  Mega co-op agro-forests that are maintained by endless profits from contract livestock-raising should be expected to exist forever, for humans will always want meats.  Copycats of the scheme throughout the tropics will help ensure prevention of runaway global warming which endangers all earthly lives to planet-wide extinction.

Imperative 17: We must build investment courage for clean and green projects worldwide!

How do we motivate potential investors to create mega co-op corporate groups from scratch?  Fundamentally, what investors and lenders look for in a potential investment-grade enterprise is the character of its leaders and the track record of the company in terms of long-term dividend and interest-issuing capabilities.  Another determinant is the past and probable future market value of the target company's stock shares.  Since our mega co-ops shall start from zero, their proponents have to ride aboard the 'names' of highly respected individuals, companies, Funds, governments and institutions local and foreign which already possess confidence-building investment attractors.     How?  For the Philippines, investment trust may build up out of  the following: a) management level retirees of top local companies as organization and management teams for the co-ops.  Most large Philippine companies are joint ventures with 1st World compa...

Imperative 27: 8th vision: mega co-ops' contract production of organic meats

Upscale markets in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, China, Korea and other countries prefer organically-grown and processed pork and chicken meats.  Reason: current commercially-grown chicken and pigs worldwide are fed with concentrates that are loaded with such chemicals as growth enhancers, disease preventives, synthetic vitamins, meat 'beautifiers', feeds preservatives, vaccines, anti-caking, anti-rancidity and anti-mold agents, etc.  Portions of such chemicals are now known to stay within the meats even after slaughter and cooking.  In due time they become causes of cancers, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, kidney and liver disease, etc.     Health-conscious consumers who are aware of such dangers prefer to consume organically grown and processed meats, despite such products' premium prices.  Organic pork and chicken meat come from livestock raised on the range, the animals free to move about within fenced feedlots that have roofed she...

Imperative 39: 18th vision: mega co-ops' elevated urban streets for bikes and electric bikes

One reason why electric bikes and tri-wheelers don't currently sell well in the Philippines is because of their inability to access the chaotic urban main roads where four-wheelers crawl by and often get gridlocked within street crossings.  Negotiating such urban chaos can be downright deadly if bikes and trikes are used, for battles for 'place' endlessly occur among four-wheel drivers trying to reduce travel time along main streets and avenues.  Riders of the 'slow and tiny' 2-3 wheelers are also forbidden by law to access main roads because of the obvious hazards posed by such adventures.     The logical solution for urban Philippines?  Build elevated streets above main avenues and appropriate side streets that are dedicated to pedestrians, bi-wheelers and tri-wheelers.  The 2nd level street networks should lead to business centers and commercial or residential areas initially within all 16 cities of the overpopulated Philippine national c...
